Terms of Service

These terms govern access to BenchRouter's hosted routing, evaluation, dashboard, setup, and billing services.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Who We Are

BenchRouter is operated by BenchRouter, Inc., a Delaware corporation. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

The Service

BenchRouter is an AI proxy, evaluation, and routing control plane. It helps route application LLM calls, run evals in your connected GitHub repository, store result evidence, and update route decisions when candidates pass your configured checks.

BenchRouter is not the model provider for every routed call. Calls may be served by direct model providers or by OpenRouter when a direct provider path is not available.

Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for your account, API keys, GitHub installation access, provider keys, and any activity under those credentials.
  • You must keep keys and tokens confidential and rotate them if they are exposed.
  • BenchRouter is not directed to children under 18.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your prompts, outputs, eval cases, scorer logic, route configuration, repository content, and application data.

You give BenchRouter the limited rights needed to provide the service: route requests, run eval workflows, store eval evidence, secure and debug the system, support your account, and bill usage. BenchRouter does not train models on your customer content by default.

Providers and Model Terms

Routed requests and eval requests may be sent to upstream model providers. Provider availability, pricing, latency, quality, supported parameters, retention, and safety behavior can change outside BenchRouter's control.

Upstream provider terms and privacy policies may apply to requests they process. You are responsible for using BenchRouter and model providers in a way that is lawful for your application and end users.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use BenchRouter for illegal activity, abuse, malware, credential theft, spam, denial-of-service activity, unauthorized testing, or circumvention.
  • Do not resell BenchRouter as a competing model gateway or control plane without written permission.
  • Do not use the service in a way that violates upstream model provider rules or applicable law.

Billing and Credits

  • BenchRouter uses prepaid account balance for live traffic and eval spend.
  • When billing enforcement is enabled, routing and evals may stop when no free grant or paid balance remains.
  • Usage is charged at provider cost with no markup. Credit purchases range from $25 to $25,000 in whole-dollar amounts, with a 5.5% service fee.
  • If you enable automatic reload, you authorize BenchRouter to charge the saved payment method for your chosen credit amount plus the 5.5% service fee when your available balance reaches your chosen threshold. You can update or turn off automatic reload from your account page at any time.
  • Prepaid credits and free grants are non-refundable. Unused credits are forfeited when an account closes unless applicable law requires otherwise.
  • Taxes may include GST/HST and cross-border taxes where applicable.

Evaluations and Promotions

Eval results are decision evidence, not a guarantee. BenchRouter can route to the best measured model for a route, but you remain responsible for application behavior, user-facing output validation, monitoring, and rollback decisions.

Availability and Changes

Self-serve BenchRouter is provided without an uptime commitment unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We may change, suspend, or discontinue service features, model availability, provider paths, or pricing.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, security risk, legal risk, or violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through privacy@benchrouter.com.

Disclaimers and Liability

AI outputs may be inaccurate, unsafe, incomplete, or unsuitable. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" for self-serve use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BenchRouter disclaims implied warranties and excludes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages.
